The spokesperson of Qom Municipality’s fire department and safety services announced that the lives of 1,935 citizens were saved in the first 6 months of this year by the firefighters, saying in the first six months of this year, more than six thousand operations have been carried out by Qom firefighters.
Hamid Karimi made the announcement while congratulating National Firefighters Day.
Today, the municipality’s Fire Department is operating as the most important safety organization in the city, he noted.
He declared that the number of firefighters of the Qom Municipality Fire Department is more than 500 operatives with 80 vehicles equipped with rescue and fire fighting equipment.
In the first 6 months of this year, 18,670 firemen were present in the operations, and 7,451 dispatches of fire engines were recorded, he noted.
The spokesperson of Qom Municipality’s Fire and Safety Services Organization added, “Also, in the first six months of this year, 6,287 operations in the form of safety services, rescue and fire operations were carried out by Qom Municipality’s fire and safety services officers.”
