The CEO of Qom Municipality’s Fire Department and Safety Services has described the number of fire stations in Qom as equal to international standards, saying The number of stations in the city is one for every 50,000 people.
Abbas Jafari made the remarks referring to Firefighter’s Day and the safety conditions of Qom city.
The extent of operations and relief services of the fire department, from earthquakes to animal hunting, is very large, and it plays an important role in accidents and such, he stated.
He touched upon the industrialization of the city of Qom and the development of the services of the fire department, adding, “In the last few years, with the efforts of the municipality and the budgets allocated to the city of Qom by the Supreme Leader’s office, we were able to reach the standard level in many ways.”
The number of stations in the city of Qom is one for every 50,000 people, and the main building of the fire department is also under construction, 70% of progress has been made, and we hope it will be opened by the Decade of Fajr, he reiterated.
