The spokesman of Qom Islamic City Council stated that we should not only look at the monorail as a means of transport, noting If the monorail of Qom is put into operation with tourism goals, it would also have economic justification.
Referring to the latest status of the monorail in Qom city, Ruhollah Amrollahi said that some of the country’s big cities are also trying to use the monorail as one of the tourism targets.
According to him, despite the fact that Qom and Ardabil were promoted to the province position in almost the same historical period, today Ardabil is the fourth city in the country in terms of the number of accommodation units, but despite the presence of millions of pilgrims, Qom does not have a suitable infrastructure in terms of attracting and sustaining travelers.
The member of the Islamic City Council of Qom pointed out the significance of supporting investment and stated: One of the important components in the matter of investment is paying attention to its popular and touristic attractions, which have received less attention in Qom.
