The mayor of Qom has said that until integrated urban management is not formed in the country, we will continue to witness inconsistency and waste of public expenses in construction and even cultural projects.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the comment while stating that The current structure of municipalities is defective.
Referring to some of the periodically violated rights of the municipality, he noted that the 20% share of the municipality from the addition of new lands to the urban boundary has not been paid so far and somehow, the government has ignored the right of the people in urban development and construction.
The mayor of Qom pointed out that since 201q, the municipality has not yet been able to receive its share of 25% of commercial complexes in Pardisan town.
What is certain is that unrealized income somehow creates obstacles in urban planning and actions, he added.
In the end, he concluded that the legal share of the municipality in many legal places affiliated to the government has not been provided in recent years, while the construction costs and the purchase of materials and equipment have multiplied.
