The mayor of Qom says the current stay time of pilgrims in Qom is about seven hours, stressing increasing the pilgrims’ stay time to develop the urban economy
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the comments while speaking to reporters.
Stating that 67% of the population of Qom are immigrants, he said the current stay time of pilgrims in Qom is 7 hours and it is not beneficial for the city, and the city economy should be developed by increasing the stay time of pilgrims.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the mayor of Qom stated that this year’s budget of Qom municipality is estimated at 5 thousand billion tomans, adding, that 2500 billion tomans of this amount should be realized in cash.
he actions and activities of the municipality in the field of welfare, culture and sports are more and bolder than some specialized institutions, the mayor noted.
In order to realize the cash budget of 2500 billion tomans of Qom municipality this year, 16 billion tomans of revenue must be collected every day, he added.
