The CEO of Transport and Traffic Organization of Qom Municipality announced the organization will put 20 smart intersections into operation in different urban areas by the end of this year.
Hossein Shabanzadeh made the announcement referring to the launch of the third urban smart intersection on Ferdowsi Blvd.
He pointed to the completion of the smart intersection project on Ferdowsi Boulevard and announced its reopening.
The plan to set up urban intersections with the implementation of the smart traffic light system, aiming at smoothing the traffic and the possibility of planning the change of stop time at different hours of the day and controlling the traffic on the roads, has been on the agenda of the Transportation and Traffic Organization of Qom Municipality for several months, he said.
Given the numerous problems in their implementation, he added that we managed to fully equip and reopen three intersections in less than two months, and the technical measures of some other intersections are also being followed up simultaneously.
