Mayor of Qom, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saqaiannejad, issued a message over the Israeli regime’s latest aggression in the besieged enclave of Gaza.
The attack of the Zionist occupying regime on Gaza in the past days and the killing of innocent men, women and children have caused the regret of the world’s free people, the mayor wrote.
This new crime of the Zionist regime, which started last Friday and was formed by the assassination of the commanders of the Palestinian Islamic resistance and the killing of innocent people, is another document of the nature and malice of this child-killing and racist regime, he added.
“These crimes are caused by the lack of understanding of the nature of Islamic resistance and the spirit of freedom-seeking in the resistance movements. It is a strategic mistake and fruitless action to test the strength of the freedom-seeking movements through cowardly crimes because it is beyond the power of oppressors and enemies of humanity to understand the power hidden inside the oppressed nations.”
On Friday, the Israeli regime carried out a new massacre in Gaza, killing dozens of people, including Taysir al-Jabari, a senior commander of the Palestinian resistance movement Islamic Jihad, and six children.
The Israeli airstrikes prompted the al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad’s military wing, to respond by firing hundreds of rockets toward the occupied territories, pushing the regime forces on the back foot.
