During their visit to the Qom city train project last week, Interior Ministry inspectors were 95% satisfied with the performance of the Qom municipality, says the deputy operation of Qom Urban Train Organization.
Seyyed Omid Khodashenas made the remarks today during the visit of Qom media people and journalists to the metro project.
The deputy operation of the Qom Urban Train Organization stated that the Ministry of Interior is in charge of urban train projects in Iran adding, “During their visit to the Qom city train project last week, Interior Ministry inspectors were 95% satisfied with the performance of the Qom municipality.”
He went on to note that we hope to see the final operation of the Qom metro before the end of this year.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed out that the first phase of the Qom metro line one has been ready for hot and cold testing for the past two months, all the operating equipment has been finalized, and now the supply of trains and fleets is the main problem and dilemma of opening a city train.
“The Qom metro line one project with a length of 14.8 km from Jamkaran Holy Mosque to the end of Shah Ebrahim Street is being implemented in 14 stations.”
The government is responsible for providing the fleet and wagons for urban trains throughout the country, and we are witnessing a slow supply of the fleet due to the sanctions and the transfer of currency and related issues.
