The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality says the municipality has been pursuing to raise cultural awareness, the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom in particular.
Mehdi Kalantarzadeh made the comments in the meeting of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Qom, which was held with the theme of promoting the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom.
Qom Municipality has activated a special headquarters for the past years to promote the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom, he stated.
He went on to say that a considerable volume of its actions is the responsibility of the two beautification organizations and the cultural, social and sports organizations.
Design and installation of sculptures and design of reliefs, murals, smartening of martyrs’ paintings, installation of elements and volumetric works, display of urban banners about martyrs are among measures taken by the municipality.
According to the Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality, designing and conducting special symposia for martyrs, printing books, providing infrastructure to promote the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrs, performing the memorial of the martyrs who defended the shrine in Behesht Masoumeh, tourism tours, holding a memorial for Martyr Fakhrizadeh and General Ghasem Soleimani, creating a virtual pilgrimage infrastructure for martyrs, media productions, producing the first anthem of Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, producing a documentary about the martyrs of Qom, holding more than 2,000 celebrations in the field of self-sacrifice and martyrdom, supporting anthem groups And provincial festivals have been on the agenda of Qom Municipality in order to promote the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom, and many of them have been done.
