The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality says a committee has been formed by the order of the mayor for the support of voluntary group programs, mosques in particular.
Mehdi Kalantarzadeh pointed out that Qom Municipality in order to pay attention to the central mosque by the order of the Mayor of Qom has a special concern to solve the necessary problems of mosques.
In this regard, a chapter has been opened with the development of mosques in the form of a committee to support mosques for essential matters such as repairing the roof, solving electrical problems, and sanitation of mosques, he stated.
This committee is composed of representatives of the Islamic Council of the city, the director general of the mayor, the director general of the Cultural, Social and Sports Organization and the director general of communications and international affairs of Qom Municipality, he continued.
The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality, noting that a chapter has been defined in terms of supporting jihadi groups, said, “Qom Municipality, with the secretary of the Cultural, Social and Sports Organization, is ready to support and cooperate with jihadi groups on issues needed by the city, including cultural and social issues regarding the culture of hijab and chastity, divorce, leisure, a culture of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. These areas should also take effective steps in the city.”
