The Director General of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality announced the production of more than 1.2 million decorative flower pots in the organization’s Research and Production Center for Flowers and Plants.
Payam Javadian stated that the Research, Training and Production Center for Flowers and Plants of Qom Municipality has been set up with a research approach in various fields of green space, including adaptation of green space species, and production of plant species with the approach of using native species with high productivity and added value.
In recent years, with the measures taken, there has been a significant quantitative and qualitative growth, and now most of the plants and species needed in Qom are provided in this center, he said
He emphasized that the center pursues three areas of activity and added, “Research in this center is carried out in various fields to study the compatibility of plant species and soil science, the use of fertilizers and soil additives and the improvement of saline soils, phytosanitary topics, pest control, etc.
The director of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality, referring to the research on water resources, stated, “The use of new irrigation solutions, the use of new resources, the prevention of water loss and… are also done in this area.”
