The Mayor of Qom has welcomed preparing the ground for establishing interactions with foreign cities, saying creating and strengthening the infrastructure for the use of mutual capacities in various issues of urban management is one of the strategies emphasized by the Municipality.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks in a meeting with the Romanian Ambassador in Qom, stressing the importance of establishing relations with different countries.
In the light of the meeting between the representatives of the countries, there is an opportunity to get to know the cultures and we can solve many problems by recognizing the different cultural layers and eliminate the monotony and theories that have arisen due to lack of knowledge, he said.
The mayor of Qom considered the relationship between Romania and Iran to be more than 120 years old and specified that the Islamic Republic of Iran, with its great heritage and civilization, as well as the 7,000-year-old city of Qom, has a lot to offer for cultural relations between the two countries, and we can cooperate in other areas by giving priority to cultural issues.
