The mayor of Qom, referred to the construction of 119 parks in the city since 2014, stressing the development of urban life infrastructure is the primary basis for cultural activities.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks in the seventh meeting of the Social harms Prevention and Treatment Headquarters which was hosted by Qom Municipality.
Emphasizing that a large part of the anomalies of society is due to the lack of effective measures, he added, “It seems that in cultural issues, no positive action has been taken to the extent that negative work has been done.”
One of the important issues in cultural and social harm arises from the lack of proper sociability among some people and another important issue is cultural advertisements and promotion of Western lifestyle based on material issues and appearance superiority, the mayor stated.
He went on to note that the municipality is the largest executive system of the city and citizens deal with this popular institution from birth to death.
The municipality has 372 executive responsibilities; The municipality is a ground-making institution, he added.
Since 2016, Qom Municipality has paid great attention to the completion of cultural and educational infrastructure at the level of mosques and cultural and artistic centers of mosques; Currently, more than 90% of the streets and alleys of Qom, are decorated with the names of the martyrs, are being equipped with new systems.
