Claudio Providas, Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iran, will travel to Qom tomorrow and will meet with Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad, Mayor of Qom.
Tomorrow, during a visit to the holy city of Qom, Claudio Providas will hold talks with the mayor of Qom, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad.
In this meeting, which is dedicated to reviewing issues and strategies of bilateral cooperation and presenting the achievements of Qom Municipality in the field of urban development, the two sides will discuss common and cooperative areas that have been discussed in previous expert meetings.
Also, necessary planning will be examined and discussed regarding the next steps of bilateral cooperation.
Waste collection and segregation, intelligent transportation and air pollution control, green space development and expansion of regional cooperation to deal with natural disasters are among the issues raised between Qom Municipality and the United Nations Development Program that will be followed up in tomorrow’s meeting.
UNDP, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cooperates with various organizations and institutions in Iran, including municipalities, on sustainable development in various fields, including urban areas, and Qom Municipality cooperates with UNDP to use technical and educational assistance.
