The head of the Accommodation and Beautification Committee of the Nowruz Facilities Headquarters of Qom Municipality announced that 18,000 tents, equivalent to 80,000 Nowruz travelers, have settled in the parks of Qom during two-week long holidays.
Payam Javadian made the remarks on the sidelines of the briefing meeting with journalists on the Nowruz activities of the committees of the Pilgrim Facilities and Travel Services Headquarters of Qom Municipality.
Qom Municipality Housing Headquarters is ready to receive travelers until April 3, and if needed, these people will be accommodated in roofed places, he announced.
He went on to add that all camps and resorts in Qom are on standby to better welcome and serve travelers and pilgrims.
Hashemi Park in district one, Imam Reza (AS) Park in district two, Fadak in district three, Niayesh and Niaz park in district five and Ghadir park are among prepared resorts for travelers, he said.
Javadian, referring to the high capacity of Qomi artists in handicrafts, especially ring making, said that for this reason, an exhibition of handicrafts and home employment has been held in some of the parks where Nowruz travelers are staying.
