Qom mayor felicites citizens on Nowruz arrival

In a Nowruz message to the citizens of Qom, the mayor has congratulated the arrival of the Iranian New Year and Nowruz celebrations.

Offering felicitations, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad expressed hope that the dynamic movement of Qom city management in 1401 would continue with strength.

The rotation of the earth and the formation of the four seasons are among the most beautiful signs of the power of God, he wrote.

I wish the coming year will be extremely fruitful and peaceful for the sincere people of Qom,” he added.

The mayor noted, “Nowruz is a symbol and crystallization of a value-oriented civilization, the culmination of which is worshipping God, family-friendliness and peace.”

The Persian New Year celebration, known as Nowruz, begins this year on Monday, March 21.

Nowruz (meaning new day in Persian) marks the first day of spring and Persian New Year that is celebrated across the world by various countries, particularly in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
