The Director General of Coordination and Supervision of Urban Services of Qom Municipality announced the readiness of Qom Urban Management Complex to hold glorious celebrations of the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) ceremonies, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Seyyed Mohsen Mirhadi made the remarks in the meeting of Qom Municipality’s headquarters for Fajr Decade Commemoration.
To make citizens more familiar with the historical sites of the Islamic Revolution, promoting social vitality by utilizing the capacity of urban management complex, using public capacity in decorating neighborhoods, streets, and increasing urban vibrancy are among the municipal measures in the Fajr decade programs, Mirhadi stated.
Supporting the activities of public centers, guilds, and schools, planning and organizing the public transportation system to provide services to citizens, and managing and organizing roads, parks, and urban squares in the field of the city’s appearance and cleaning related to the days of the Fajr decade is also on the municipality’s agenda, he added.
He also stated that the inauguration of some of the development, recreation, and cultural projects, as in previous years, has been planned by Qom Municipality during the Ten-Day Fajr celebrations.
Besudes, he director of the social department of the Cultural, Social, and Sports Organization of Qom Municipality announced that various celebrations and events will be held on the occasion of the Decade of Fajr.
Mojtaba Bostan said that said these programs will include Qom tours, visiting historical sites, and sports competitions.
Every year Iranians mark the anniversary of their Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies. February 1, 1979 was the date when Ayatollah Khomeini returned from exile.
