The mayor of Qom has stressed the need to develop the five-year strategic and operational document of Qom Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization in order to provide better services to citizens.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad made the remarks attending the meeting of Qom Municipality’s Fire and Safety Services Council on Tuesday.
Saying that firefighting equipment and safety services have considerably increased in recent years, Saghaeiannejad emphasized the use of government funds to provide rescue and firefighting equipment.
He touched upon the significance of supplying and updating firefighting equipment, adding in next year’s budget, 3000 billion rials have been allocated to this end.
The meeting of Qom Municipality’s Fire and Safety Services Council was held on Tuesday with the presence of Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad, Qom mayor, Mohsen Orouji, Director General of Qom Crisis Management, Narjes Niazmand, a member of the board of Qom City Council, Abbas Zakerian, Deputy of municipal services of Qom Municipality and members of the organization council.
It is worth motioning that the Qom mayor had earlier declared that Qom Fire Department enjoys the world standard equipment to serve the citizens.
Moreover, Abbas Jafari , the director general of the Qom Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization previously said that Qom is the only standard metropolis of the country in terms of the number of fire stations.
