A member of Qom Islamic City Council has highlighted the significance of accelerating the process of the city’s smartization.
Qom municipality should speed up the process of the city’s smartization to provide desirable services to citizens and increase public satisfaction, Masoumeh Amereh stated.
Amereh went on to say that updating and improving the quality of ICT standards, using new technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things to provide proper services and facilitate public affairs are the main demands of the council from the municipality.
To accelerate the process of somatization, the municipality should use the capacity of local elites, startups and technological companies to design and implement smart urban management systems, she noted.
The member of Qom Islamic City Council also said that extensive use of new technologies and artificial intelligence in the municipality will facilitate the executive process, provide easy access for citizens, and make the municipal operations transparent and efficient so the organization can ensure rapid response to the needs of citizens and facilitate the provision of services to the people.
She finally reiterated that in order to achieve real smartization in the municipality, Qom citizens should also be trained to use electronic services.
Meanwhile, The head of Smart City Center of Qom Municipality had earlier announced that the four-year achievements on the Smart City programs have been presented at the International Conference of Smart Cities 2020 in Bucharest, Romania.
