The head of the smart city headquarters of Qom Municipality says we are seeking to increase the municipality’s research capacity.
Smart city headquarters of Qom Municipality have been looking for developing the research capacity of the municipality in order to familiarize knowledge-based companies with the research needs of the municipality to take a step towards solving the problems, Homayoun Yazdanpanah said attending in a press conference in which 6-year performance of Qom Municipality was explained.
Stressing the headquarters’ measures which have been based on the six-year vision of Qom, Yazdanpanah reiterated that the first startup event of the urban services was held in which companies, while getting acquainted with the issues and problems of the municipality, provided a platform for creative ideas of urban management to solve problems.
He also announced that transportation and traffic startup event will be held in the second half of this year and knowledge-based companies will be able to establish mutual relationships.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said during the last few years, we laid the foundation for the realization of the smart city and reached a very good position in the country in terms of software and data center infrastructure.
Thus, connecting to this software-technical infrastructure, different areas of Qom Municipality, affiliated organizations and other executive bodies can have integrated electronic interactions with the smart city, he noted.
He also emphasized the differences between a smart city and an electronic city, saying the e-city is the realization of all e-services, the subject of which was opened in our country about 20 years ago, but the smart city is one of propositions of e-city.
