Qom green space increased by 580,000 m2

The deputy of municipal services of Qom municipality says 580,000 square meters is added to the city’s green space with the inauguration of green space projects in the framework of ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan.

Seyyed Amir Sameh made the remarks on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the recreation and green space projects of Qom Municipality, including opening Ghadir amusement park, operating Taravat Park, and beginning the construction operation of Kuhsar Park and the second stage of Rezvan Forest Park, on Wednesday.

In addition to the cost of buying land, some 700 billion rials has been allocated to carry out these projects, Sameh noted, saying as they are implemented, 580,000 square meters is added to Qom green space.

He stated that we currently have more than 25 million square meters of green space, which is more than 20.3 square meters per capita, adding since these projects have been implemented in different parts of the city, they can play an important role in increasing the per capita green space.

He further announced that Road and Urban Development Department and Agriculture Jihad Organization will soon hand over 200 to 400 hectares of land at the entrance of Jafaria district to the municipality to create an environmental complex, a park and a forest park.
