Major investment project to be launched in Qom: Mayor

The mayor of Qom said on Monday that over 34,000 billion rials will be invested in the city in the first three months of the present year.

Touching upon the urban management plans for the operation of investment projects on a monthly basis, Dr. Seyed Morteza Saghaiannejad stated that a number of projects will be inaugurated each month of the current year.

Saghainnejad emphasized the significance of attracting investment as one of the requirements for the city’s progress, saying that the total budget of the municipality is 30,620 billion rials, and this is while more than this budget is to be allocated in the investment sector.

Saying more than 14,000 billion rials of investment projects were carried out in the city of Qom last year, Saghainnejad added that one of the areas that has a high capacity for private sector investment is the Great Prophet Boulevard.

He mentioned that the presence of private investors will lead to the development and increase of services in the city during the economic recession, noting the launch of a 34,000 billion rial investment project in the first three months of the year.

Referring to the latest situation of some recreational and urban amenities, he asserted that many of these places, such as bird gardens, amusement parks, which are now closed due to the COVID-19, will be reopened shortly after crossing the pandemic peak.
