Qom’s recycling booths donate flowers to citizens

The head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality said flowers and plants will be donated to responsible citizens in recycling booths across the city.

The move will take place on the occasion of Clean Earth Week.

Referring to the importance of paying attention to Clean Earth Week, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi noted that dry waste exchange projects with flowers, plants, books, and other items are implemented in recycling booths throughout the recent year.

He pointed out that the implementation of these projects is aimed at encouraging citizens to participate in the waste separation project from the source.

During this week, several projects will be held to encourage citizens to maintain and increase citizen participation in recycling booths, he made the remarks touching upon the implementation of incentive projects in Clean Earth Week.

Earlier and coincide with Natural Resources Week and Arbor Day, the Waste Management Organization had distributed compost fertilizer at recycling booths in the city.

Improving soil condition, increasing the level of absorption of nutrients, and supplying the nutrients needed by plants were among the goals of compost fertilizer production, the municipality official stated.
