Qom disinfects public places, parks to protect against COVID-19

The Deputy of Municipal Services of Qom Municipality announced the daily disinfection of public places, playgrounds, and equipment in the city’s parks.

Touching upon the reopening of urban parks, Seyyed Amir Same stated that “Acting on the order of Coronavirus Headquarters, which is chaired by the Governor of Qom, the city’s parks have been reopened.”

Meanwhile, he noted that citizens should refrain from any kind of gathering in parks and they should fully comply with the health protocols.

Sanitary facilities, prayer halls, all playgrounds, and health facilities have been fully reopened and they are available to the citizens in accordance with the health protocols, the municipality official added.

He also reiterated that the disinfection of the reopened areas would be done on a daily basis and in accordance with hygienic instructions.

The decision came to effect while the health ministry spokeswoman declared that another 79 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus during the past 24 hours in Iran.

According to her report, the number of the total death toll reached 58,038 in Iran.

Elaborating on the latest situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Iran, Lari said that 6,597 new cases infected with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, some  817 of whom have been hospitalized.

She added that 1,424,596 Iranians have totally been confirmed infected, some 1,216,305 of whom have either recovered or been discharged from hospitals.
