Hazrat Masoumeh holy shrine blanketed in black on her demise anniv.

On the occasion of the demise anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH), her holy shrine along with the streets in Qom were blackened.

The blackening ceremony was held on the occasion of the demise of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) with the attendance of a group of the staff of her holy shrine, the director of the Cultural and Sports Organization and the head of the Qom Municipality’s Beautification Organization.

This ceremony was organized by the Municipality of Qom with the cooperation of Astan Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) and during that the blackening of the streets of eight districts near the shrine started.

The blackening event was held in compliance with all health instructions imposed by the pandemic restrictions.

Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (PBUH) is the daughter of Imam Musa Kadhim (PBUH) and the sister of Imam Reza (PBUH).

She arrived in the city in the year 816 (AD) on her way to Mashhad but passed away a few days later and was buried in Qom.

Every year, several groups of mourners from different parts of Qom province and also from across the country gathered at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) ahead of the demise anniversary of the noble lady, but this year due to the coronavirus limitations, religious ceremonies were canceled.

The 10th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Thani (Tuesday, November 26 this year) marks her demise anniversary.
