The Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality Province announced that the city’s directional signs will be completed and installed by the end of the current year.
Pointing out to the significance of proper guidance of vehicles in the city, Abbas Zakerian said that one of the effective factors in traffic management is to prevent the accumulation of vehicles as well as guiding them rightly in all city roads.
The Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality referred to the presence of pilgrims in the city and noted that cars should be guided from all entrances of Qom to two holy and key sites of the city, namely the holy mosque of Jamkaran and the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS), easily and in the shortest time.
Zakerian declared the installation of directional signs in the main streets of the city and specified that the installation of signs would be done based on the album delivered to the Transport and Traffic Organization.
He added that the installation project enjoys a contract worth two billion tomans and it has been on agenda since 2018.
Zakerian further stated that in 2018, the first two stages of the signs installations were done, but with the currency fluctuations in 2019, the continuation of the installation project faces some problems.
The municipality official reiterated that the completion of the remaining two stages is our priority.
