Qom extends closure of parks

The Qom municipality official announced that the municipality is closely monitoring the closure of parks and the observance of health protocols.

Payam Javadian, managing director of Qom Parks and Green Space Organization, stated that our experts in Qom Municipality are observing implementation of virus-linked curbs by employing 10 monitoring teams.

Javadian emphasized on complying with health protocols and imposed-restrictions saying, “Unfortunately, the outbreak of coronavirus has deprived citizens of many recreations and has created social limitations.”

Urging people to observe health instructions he added that the start of the third peak of COVID- 19 along with the beginning of cold season led to the imposition of more curbs in the city of Qom.

He went on to note that we expect citizens to cooperate with the officials in controlling the new peak of the deadly disease.

Touching upon the extension of park’ shutdown, Javadian asserted that despite the prior notice on closure of parks and blocking their gateways, unfortunately we witnessed a few number of citizens entering the parks.

He reiterated that sanitary facilities, prayer halls, playgrounds and other facilities in the city’s parks are still closed and no services will be provided to citizens until further notice.

He concluded that the municipality’s inspectors with 10 monitoring teams would control all parks and local gardens in the city and observe the health protocols as well as giving the necessary warnings to the citizens.
