Qom’s School Renovation Dept. hails municipality for constructive interaction

The Director General of Schools Development and Renovation of Qom Province has praised the municipality of Qom, saying the interaction model of the municipality with the General Department of School Renovation in providing and buying bitumen and asphalt has become a successful national model and has reduced the government’s public expenses.

Ahmadreza Ejtehadi made the remarks in a meeting with the members of the school builder benefactors’ assembly of the province with the mayor of Qom, Dr. Saqaiannejad.

The director general referring to the interaction between the education unit and Qom Municipality in the distribution of asphalt and improving the school environment, noted, “The interaction model of these two institutions in the supply and purchase of bitumen and asphalt in Qom today has become a successful country model and has reduced the government’s public expenses.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed out that while the average number of students in the country is 25 students, some classrooms in Qom will have 40 students this year.

The General Director of Development and Renovation of Schools in Qom Province stated that the per capita educational space in the country is about 6 square meters, while the per capita educational space in Qom is 4.2 square meters.

Touching upon that 14% of Qom’s students are expatriate students, he asserted that 45,000 expatriate students must register in Qom this year, which is 3.5% per capita in Qom and 14% in Qom.
