Muharram mourners in Qom performed the noon prayer of Ashura with Qom Municipality’s cooperation, marking the martyrdom anniversary of the master of the martyrs, Imam Hussein (AS).
The ritual of the magnificent noon prayer of Ashura was held in various places in the city of Qom, concurrent with all over the country, around the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (PBUH), the holy places, and the mosques of the province.
Around the Holy Shrine, this prayer was held with the participation of Qom Municipality with the enthusiastic presence of people.
This magnificent prayer was held with the engagement of various municipality sectors, especially the municipal service forces.
Imam Hussein’s mourners throughout Islamic Iran also offered the noon prayer of Ashura in memory of Imam Hussein (AS).
At the noon of Ashura in the year 61 AH (October 10, 680 CE), when “Abu Thamama” reminded the Imam of the time of noon prayer, Imam Hussein (AS) was pleased with what he had done and prayed for him and said: “You reminded the prayer, May Allah consider you as one of the worshippers. “
