Qom mayor pens letter on Reporter’s Day

The mayor of Qom has marked the Reporter’s Day in a message.

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saqaiannejad, in a letter, honored the national Reporter’s Day.

Some parts of the letter is as follows:

Ashura is the manifestation of the message and clarification of freedom.

Audience; It is a significant Keyword that in today’s colorful media uproar, the main purpose and goal of every movement and action is for the audience to receive the message of that movement and understand it for their part.

The role of journalists as activists in the field of message is also evident in this arena, which sees every action from all aspects, both bitter and sweet, and creates a path for understanding by clarifying it.

The great movement of Ashura is also from the same point of view, reflecting a message to look for the audience, an audience that wakes up from moving on the path of destruction and takes a step towards clarity, light, truth and freedom, and the cry of “Is there anybody who will help us” is the proof and the point of this.

This year’s coincidence of Hosseini’s Ashura and the anniversary of the martyrdom of journalist Mahmoud Saremi may open a new window for those who step on the path of awareness.

August 8 was designated National Reporter’s Day in Iran after Taliban militants killed Mahmoud Saremi, the correspondent of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), along with eight Iranian diplomats, in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif in 1998.
