The Deputy Minister of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality announced that they are planning to improve traffic behavior and make citizens more familiar with the concepts of traffic and urban safety.
Masoud Tabibi made the remarks touching upon the issue of social needs and urbanization to increase urban safety.
Implementation of traffic behavior planning projects, familiarity with the concepts and aspects of urban safety and information about the implemented projects are on the agenda of the Deputy Minister of Transportation and Traffic as well as its affiliated organizations, he said.
The terms “traffic culture”,” traffic behavior” and “driver behavior “differ mainly in modifiability and alterability, in the case of using the term traffic cultureو the difficulty of changeability or time-consuming correction would be perceived, he noted.
The Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality pointed out that evidence shows that by correctly anticipating traffic control requirements such as the use of intelligent systems, violation registration systems, or modifying geometric designs in accordance with the principles of regulations, wrong behaviors can be quickly turned into correct and expected behaviors.
According to Tabibi, new issues and concepts have become a high priority in urban traffic today, which is necessary to make clear the necessity and need for them to the audience and citizens and to make the society sensitive to the implementation and observance of these issues.
