1st commemoration ceremony held for Army martyrs in Qom province

The first commemoration ceremony was held for 565 martyrs of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the province of Qom.

Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Coordinator of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Brigadier General Mahmoudi and other commanders of the Army and the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Republic as well as the families of the martyrs were among participants.

During the event, the bust of Major General Martyr Mohammad Farashahi was unveiled.

This bust has been designed and made in the third stage of the national event of volumetric works and memorials of Qom city,  in honor of the martyrs of the province, by the efforts of Qom Municipality and beautification organization.

“The great position of the martyrs is becoming more prominent day by day and their memory is becoming fresher every day, and the municipality uses all artistic determination and solutions to commemorate the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom and to keep the memory of the martyrs alive.”

Payam Javadian, head of Qom Municipality Beautification Organization, made the remarks on the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony of the martyr Farashahi’s bust in the first memorial of 565 Army martyrs in Qom province.

ُThe bust of Major General Farashahi, who was one of the commanders of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a magnificent artwork which is built by Ghodrat-Allah Memarian.
