52 new buses join Qom public transport fleet

Concurrently with the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, 52 new city buses officially entered the public transport fleet of Qom Municipality with the presence of provincial officials and city management.

Following the inauguration of Qom Municipality urban projects in the field of transportation and traffic, 52 city buses joined the public fleet on Sunday.

The inauguration ceremony was held with the presence of Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Shahcheraghi, Provincial Governor, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad, Mayor, General Mohammad Reza Movahed, Commander of Ali Ibn Abitaleb (AS), Morteza Heidari, Governor, members of Qom Islamic City Council And another group of provincial officials and city managers.

The Mayor of Qom, on the sidelines of the operation of these 52 new buses of Qom Public Transport Fleet, referred to the importance of developing the public fleet.

He stated that the development of this fleet is directly associated with the establishing human-centered city and moving in the orbit of clean air law in transportation and traffic fields.

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad pointed out that the age of the public transport fleet of Qom has now reached 2 years and is in good condition, while currently the age of the fleet in many metropolises is more than 12 years.

It is worth mentioning that 52 city buses with a credit of 3,300 billion Rials and with Euro 4 pollution standard, ventilation systems and equipped with the electronic system “Qom Card” were provided to the citizens of Qom from today.
